
HTC Rezound Unboxing We've already seen the HTC Rezound in action, and the Beats Audio integrated device was music to our ears. Now we're getting a more intimate look at the burly phone, and you know what? We still think it's a device that will turn more than a few heads. The HTC Rezound packs a punch with its snappy 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and Verizon's fast 4G LTE network. So far in our limited use the snappy internals make for a buttery smooth Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) experience. In just a short while Gingerbread will become old hat, though, as the Rezound is shipping Ice Cream Sandwich ready, so users can look forward to that sometime early next year. HTC Sense 3.5 looks beautiful on the device's 4.3-inch 720p display. Yesterday we got our hands on the HTC Sensation XL (which had a 4.7-inch screen), and we absolutely loved the screen, but the Rezound looks to be a good middle ground. You can't tell by just looking at it, but the Rezound is heavy. However, that's not such a bad thing because the soft touch materials feel solid, and the textured back is nice when holding the device one handed. The black and red combo gives the phone a premium, sleek look as well that will evoke past HTC designs. Audiophiles looking for a Beats by Dre experience will be pleased to know that the Rezound packs Beats audio support along with some Beats earbuds for the full experience.
